I liked how at the start the background was being drawn in as the girl walked/slid along it looked really visually striking and cool. The contrast between the coloured characters and black and white backgrounds was also pretty cool.
This looks like it is going to be a stunning series, and I am blown away with how amazing it looks! I can't believe this didn't get any Portal awards upon its release, but then it may have been too slow and pondering for most.
The set up here is great, and I like how this is basically an animated graphic novel, years before they became widespread and more well known. Your artwork is incredible and this shows off your style very well!
The only downside I have, and you're not losing anything for it, is that there should be a pause button for the movie. It's long and slow and sometimes things arise that mean you have to leave the movie, and since it can't be paused its a shame to have to miss out on any of the stunning amazingness that is on show here.
This was a great parody of the E! True Hollywood Stories and does a great job of ripping the utter piss out of Bin Laden.
The style of it works very well, although I think the narration should have kicked in from the start rather than after his birth. The start of the show seems pretty strange when theres noone talking you through whats going on. This is rectified later and it works well with all the stock photos and footage. However some of this stock footage breaks the realism as it clearly couldn't have been filmed.
Parts such as him trying to pick up the woman on his camel, talking to his son over breakfast or watching the news about the Twin Towers was clearly not footage and this could have easily been worked around by adding "dramatic recreation" to the corner of the shots. Pretty sure thats a thing they do in those shows.
Nice job at being both a parody of the E! type show and a pisstake about Bin Laden!
The animation and graphics here were definitely subpar, but the humour more than made up for it!
Seeing the terrorists doing what you expect children/people who have never seen snow before to do was quite funny! If you were just to improve on the animation here it would be a much better movie.
The message this game promoted, that not every Muslim and Arab is a terrorist, is a good one, especially in the wake of 9/11 when there was a lot of angry people, and not all of them rational. Lashing out at people who are different from you because of something that has happened is not the way to go about things.
But the game itself has obviously been made very quickly, and it shows. Theres no controls apart from clicking on Bin Laden and you just have to keep doing this really fast to stop him beating the crap out of you. This would have been a lot better as a proper beat em up with combos and everything. It also makes little sense that if Bin Laden is in custody hes allowed to fight back. Should have just left him tied up and let people practice combos on him while he gets more and more beat up.
This short was obviously put together very quickly in the wake of 9/11, but still shows more care and attention put into it than other 9/11 pieces that were rushed out at the same time.
However, this still really lacks a proper focus other than showing this man's reaction to the other tower being hit and while this is obviously very powerful, for him and for us, we knew it was coming. There was no proper impact for us because we knew the other tower had been hit, it would have been stronger to see his emotion upon seeing this rather than fading to white.
This nothing more than a slideshow really, with lots of 9/11 related pictures and a couple of vaguely related quotes thrown in. While 9/11 was a great tragedy, this doesn't seem like that fitting a tribute to it, especially in light on comments you've made about it.
Your main problem with this movie is that it instantly loops right back to the beginning again after its finished. The music is obviously too long for the tributge because it still carries on from its current spot, only restarting if it has finished and the movie loops around to the beginning again.
Overall, this was obviously put together very quickly to have a 9/11 related movie out on the Portal ON 9/11 and it shows in its execution.
The fuck is wrong with you.
You just dedicated more time to writing this review then it took to actually make the movie youre reviewing, a movie thats over ten years old.
This game is an amusing distraction for the ten minutes it takes to do everything. It's an old school adventure game boiled down to its simplest format, with only one screen and one objective. Of course, theres multiple ways to achieve the objective, and it's up to you to figure them all out!
Looking at the names of all the awards makes it easier to work out what you need to do to unlock them and the fun is then seeing the outcome of your actions. Most of them involve shit. All of them are funny.
This movie had the style of an old cartoon, that first chort of Jim walking down the street instantly made me think of them. But then Jim seems to be drawn more in the style of Ren and Stimpy, which would fit better with the humour of this movie.
It was simply animated, but worked really well. I look forward to watching the rest of this series!

A classic
Yeah. not much to be said for this. Its went from Turd of the Week to having quite a respectable score. And it's nothing more than a letter B.
